The email system at work is utterly screwed. Has been for days. My desk is a big mess as well. I’m about to go into three days of nonstop admissions interviews. Had an important insight this week about the dynamic around the office and the role I adopt in it, and it doesn’t make me… Continue Reading
Today thornyc reminded me that pretty much anything is better with googly eyes, leading me to make the following challenge: Show me your googlies! below are a virtual pair of googly eyes. Apply them as you see fit and post the results in your journal. Let the googliness begin! No tags for this post.
The only thing that really made me pay attention to last night’s Oscar cast was the footage of Bette Davis announcing Marlon Brando’s win in a demented outerspace pixie outfit. After a night of being woken up by disturbing zombie attack dreams it was a great pleasure to find this online this morning. I won’t lie and say I never read my reviews. I do; sometimes more than I should. It’s always very nice to get a sympathetic reading. No tags for this post.
Big, fluffly snow outside. The cab driver I had last night quizzed me about my presidential choice and then we talked about the surprise of the of the Pakistani election results. He told me he was happy that Musharraf didn’t steal the election, but that he didn’t like Bhuttoh’s husband. He’s been driving a cab… Continue Reading
The plane is mostly empty; a blessing that allows me to slide over to the window seat from my place on the aisle and to hoist my shoulder bag into the now vacant seat. So I’m typing in relative comfort, aside from the fact that the plane stinks. It smells of the heated “snack” that… Continue Reading
