As many of you know I have served for the past year as the Parliamentarian on The Eulenspiegel Society’s board of directors. Next Tuesday, September 8th will be this year’s election meeting of the membership.
If you are a member of TES, you should have already received your ballot and proxy forms. If you haven’t, you can retrieve them here (may be thought of as a NSFW link, Given TES’s reason for being).
If you care about the organization, you should make every effort to attend the meeting, but if you cannot you can assign someone to vote as your proxy:
All proxies must be mailed to the current mailing address of the TES Association by first class mail and must be received no later than seventy-two hours prior to the date of the vote, or presented in person by the signor of the proxy at the meeting.
Think carefully and designate someone you trust as your proxy, because aside from voting for the candidates, sometimes other issues come up at the membership meeting and are voted on.
Since I will be presiding at the meeting, I would ask you as a personal favor not to assign your proxies to me.
I have been happy to serve the organization in this capacity this past year, and look forward to continuing to do so in other ways in the future.

A common mistake that many people make is that they send in the proxy without the ballot. The proxy does not replace the ballot. Both must be sent in.
