I learned a great truth today:

Socks, when their Karma is properly aligned, can be reincarnated as Bay leaves.

Nothing else would explain the facts that every time I put ten socks in the dryer, I get seven back, and for every two Bay leaves I add to my stew, I pick out five.

Let us take a moment to contemplate the majesty of the Cosmic Wheel.
