Today we were at the National Museum in Ueno Park with its many stunning treasures. I had no idea the centuries they’ve been anthropomorphizing animals in the arts, especially frogs, monkeys, and… rabbits. Many ink-and-wash drawings both beautiful and playful; I thought of you a lot.
